Passive 2

Change the active sentences to passive. Example: Stephen King wrote the book. becomes The book was written by Stephen King. When you have finished all the questions, click on the Get Score button at the bottom of the page to see your score and the correct answers.

The passive voice shows that the subject is receiving the action of the verb. Form the passive voice by using the appropriate form of to and be and the past participle of the main verb.
Example:
active: Tom writes a letter.
passive: A letter has been written. (by Tom ... if you feel this information is important. If it is obvious or not really important, do not use it.)

  4. The reporter wrote an article about pollution.
